Editorial Standards

Attribution
BreakFirst is an attribution-first publication. We relay what sources are reporting and name them ("according to the IDF Spokesperson," "Fox News reported," "per Israel Hayom"). We do not assert contested facts in our own voice.
Verification & labeling
Breaking items are often published while a story is still developing. We clearly frame unconfirmed reports as unverified and note when claims have not been independently confirmed. We update stories as verified information emerges, and we do not present rumor as established fact.
Editorial perspective
BreakFirst reports from a stated pro-Israel, conservative editorial perspective. A point of view guides what we emphasize and how we frame stories — it never licenses fabricating facts, inventing quotes, or misrepresenting sources. Readers are entitled to know our lean, and now they do.
Sources & originality
We summarize and add context to reports from many outlets and link out to them; we do not reproduce their articles in full. Each BreakFirst brief aims to add value — synthesis across sources, context, and a plain statement of why a development matters.
Use of AI
BreakFirst uses automation and AI tools to monitor sources and draft coverage at speed, under human editorial direction and the standards on this page. We disclose this openly.
Corrections
We correct errors promptly and transparently. See our Corrections Policy.
