The IDF says Golani Brigade troops, operating under the 36th Division, have dismantled more than 400 Hezbollah terror infrastructure sites across southern Lebanon in recent weeks. According to the military, soldiers seized a large cache of weapons during the operations, including anti-tank and surface-to-air missiles, explosives, rifles, and mortars. The IDF states the sweep was designed to eliminate lingering threats to Israeli civilians along the northern border while maintaining Israel's commitment to the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon. Officials framed the effort as a continuation of Israel's determination to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its military capabilities despite the truce. The IDF has repeatedly warned that Hezbollah has attempted to reconstitute infrastructure in violation of the ceasefire terms, and says it will continue acting to protect residents of northern Israel from renewed threats.
