Israel advancing multiyear military space plan, Defense Ministry reports

Israel's Defense Ministry is advancing a multiyear space program intended to expand its military capabilities in orbit, according to reports. The plan is said to focus on round-the-clock, all-weather intelligence collection and on strengthening resilient military communications networks. It reportedly also includes funding for offensive capabilities, among them systems designed to protect Israeli satellites from hostile spacecraft, as well as weapons capable of striking targets on Earth from space. No timeline or budget figures for the program were specified in the reporting, and the Defense Ministry has not published a detailed breakdown of the individual projects involved. The reported push reflects a broader trend among militaries treating space as an operational domain. BreakFirst has not independently verified the details of the plan.
