Israel and Greece have signed the “Achilles Shield” agreement, a record €3 billion defense deal, the Israeli Defense Ministry announced. Under the pact, Israel will build Greece a comprehensive multi-layered air defense network featuring David's Sling, SPYDER, BARAK MX and MMR radar systems, along with a new national command-and-control system to counter threats ranging from ballistic missiles to drones. The ministry called it the largest defense export deal in Israel-Greece history and the first time Israel has supplied another nation with a complete integrated defense array. A separate €26 million agreement for Rafael's Drone Dome anti-drone systems was also signed, alongside expanded technology and industrial cooperation between the two allies, underscoring Israel's growing role as a top-tier global defense exporter.
