Netanyahu: US backing enabled Israel's strikes on Iran

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a Channel 14 interview that Israel's major actions against Iran itself, not just its proxies, would not have been possible without U.S. backing, according to the network. Netanyahu argued this underscores why an Israeli prime minister must be skilled at maneuvering on the world stage, citing what he said were nearly 1,000 hours he has spent appearing on American television over the years to build and maintain that support. The comments come as Israel continues to weigh its posture toward Tehran following direct confrontations widely seen as a turning point in the region. Netanyahu's remarks emphasize the closeness of U.S.-Israel coordination on security matters and frame American diplomatic backing as decisive in Israel's ability to act against Iranian threats.
