Trump Vows U.S. Will Respond to Attack on Forces in Jordan

President Trump warned that the United States will retaliate after an overnight attack targeting American forces in Jordan, according to remarks he made publicly. "We're going to hit them hard," Trump said. "There will be a response." The statement comes amid rising tensions with Iran-backed militias operating across the region, as U.S. troops continue to face threats tied to the ongoing conflict following Hamas's war with Israel. Trump's comments signal a hardline stance against Tehran and its proxies, reflecting growing pressure on the administration to demonstrate strength in the face of attacks on American personnel abroad. No further operational details were immediately available, and officials have not yet confirmed the scope of the planned U.S. response.
