Trump Warns Democratic Party Shifting Toward 'Communism'

President Trump is reporting confidence heading into the midterms, telling reporters he believes Republicans will “do very well” in November. According to remarks he made, Trump argued the Democratic Party has been “infiltrated by bad thought, by bad policy,” saying what once resembled socialism has now moved toward what he called outright communism. He pointed to candidates running in Michigan, referencing an interview with Abdul El-Sayed on Jesse Watters' show, calling the candidate “out of it” and warning it signals “big, big trouble” for the country. Trump said he wasn't making a moral judgment about individuals, but framed the ideological shift within the party as a serious national concern ahead of the upcoming elections.
