UK Police Probe Man Wearing Antisemitic 'Khaybar' Shirt

Police in North London are investigating after a man was seen wearing a shirt emblazoned with the antisemitic slogan “Khaybar Khaybar yaa Yahud,” a chant referencing the 7th-century Battle of Khaybar in which Muslim forces defeated a Jewish community. The phrase is widely recognized today as a chilling threat against Jews. According to police, the incident was reported by a Jewish man who was shopping with his children at the time. Authorities said the case is being treated as a potential racially aggravated public order offense, though no arrests have been made so far. The incident adds to growing concern over rising antisemitic intimidation in public spaces across the UK, as Jewish communities report feeling increasingly unsafe amid a wave of hostile rhetoric.
