Woman Removed After Confronting Mamdani in Borough Park

A woman was removed from Eichler's on 13th Avenue in Borough Park Wednesday after attempting to confront New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani during a visit to the Orthodox Jewish neighborhood ahead of Rosh Hashanah, according to video posted by Scootercaster. Mamdani had been touring stores in the Brooklyn community, meeting residents and receiving a gift of honey ahead of the holiday, which begins Sept. 11. Footage showed the woman being escorted out after apparently trying to approach the mayor. It remains unclear what prompted the confrontation or what, if anything, she said to Mamdani. The mayor's outreach visit comes amid heightened scrutiny of his relationship with New York's Jewish communities since taking office.
